Why leave?

This is the sort of thing that really nonplusses me.

The soldiers over there are not drafted - they are doing what they WANT to do. They WANTED to be soldiers. Iraq is a great place to do your job.

The left can't get it into their heads that not everybody thinks like them. They would be running from Iraq as fast as they can. Tail between the legs and whimpering.

Iraq is a strategic Disneyland for America. Leaving it? Why? Because Don and some other folks live to count soldiers lives lost?

Heck we lose lives all over the planet. We're not withdrawing from all these places, nor should we.

This is the power of the media and fixation. Put a poster with red and yellow leters in front of your face and soon its the only thing you're thinking of.

Folks wanted us out of Japan and Germany too. Mainly between 1946 and 1955. After that the media got over it, folks didn't care and it will be the same way with Iraq.

We'll be there, operating our major new Middle Eastern bases, till 2050 and beyond.

Once the media finds new things to cash in on, they'll move on. And most folks on the left will remember they really didn't give a damn about our soldiers anyway - if they even think about it in ten years.

Harsh? No. Absolutely true.
