I warned awhile back that the neocons shouldn't go under the false impression that moderates, liberals, and progressives are the eternal pacifists they seem to think they are. Generally as a group they try not to engage in a fight but when pressed up against a wall they can fight harder and dirtier than any of the chicken-hawks ever dreamed of.
Somehow they've come to believe that you must be some sort of redneck, neocon conservative to be an brutal and patriotic soldier. Let me remind them that the most effective armies the US has fielded were during times of conscription and draft when people of all political persuasions were represented. George Washington was a courageous fighter often facing insurmountable odds and certain death on the battlefield and yet took the moderate road politically rejecting the immense power the country wanted to grant him.
Lindy, I'm so done being nice to these idiots. They're killing the country I love in their move to make us some kind of fascist theocracy and they have no idea what passions they're here as they sit back in their armchairs letting our youth do their killing for them. The posts I read from the likes of SDAI and Tom have this condescending air to them where they come on like they have this deep inside information that justifies all the bogus actions we're taking. What they don't have in their posts is the human element, that part that separates us from being mere black and white automatons. They're in this world of illusion and have not one ounce of understanding of the basic human soul and how our brains are wired by our years of evolution and history.
In a way they're mere lab rats conditioned by little rings of the bell and the rewards of prosperity they were lucky enough to be born into. Make no mistake about it Lindy and these are serious charges. Were we in pre-Nazi Germany, the guys still supporting this stupidity we're seeing would be the same ones praising the power of the Third Reich and reaping the benefits of party affiliation. There is no difference other than circumstances. I looked forward at one time on here to debating these guys. They occassionally made some valid points and made me look at things in a different light. That is no longer the case as I've seen deep into their hearts and there's only fear and emptiness. They are so consumed with their own inadequacies that the only weapon they possess is to put down others. I've ceased to like these people and have no room in my life for them.
I'm so glad there are others on here with open minds and progressive thoughts. I'll continue treating them with respect. The rest can go to hell.
