Not that I always was before but they've just crossed a boundary where the hair on the back of my neck stands up every time I see their names on a post and my owner can no longer hold me back with the leash.
I'm just done assuming that these people are true Americans, misguided but with true intentions and plan on calling them the greedy and weak bastards they truly are. I no longer care what links they cite, have no more respect for the "research" they do, or care the least how eloquently they compose their responses.
Anyone I meet from now until these fascists get booted out of office that hasn't figured out the damage they've done to our country is going to be regarded as an enemy of mine and a direct threat to my family's survival. I'll look upon them as dangerous as if my neighborhood had been informed of a released child molester living amongst us.
I truly want to share your optimism about the electorate figuring it out but I'm seeing once again a slow erosion of support for opposition party candidates within my own state. The moronic masses start to get upset but then seem to get numb when the alternative choices aren't wildly compelling. Most American voters simply cannot figure out that the first step is not choosing someone wonderfully better but just choosing someone different to break the power lock and take away the job security from these bozos. I think there'll be some lessening of power in November but doubt it will be as substantial as you're describing.
Political change didn't really start occurring during the Vietnam era until huge numbers of people started taking to the streets and came under violent backlash. I hope that's not necessary again.
