Good job but there's a difference

First of all, I'm sure you'll notice a few Republican "sweeties" in the Yea column and quite a few Democrat ultra-liberals in the Nay.

Second, this bill was NOT passed and judging by the vote outcome (77 nays, 22 yeas) it was probably pretty clear that it would not be passed even before the vote. In likelyhood a number of those yea votes were protests that were political moves for the pols who made them.

Now contrast this to the Kosova vote which WAS approved by the Republicans in Congress. This was the only case I know of in American history where Congress actually did vote to cut off funds to our armed forces while they were involved in combat operations.

Here's an EXACT analogy: Democrats are hypothetically in control of both houses of Congress today and they voted to cut off all funding to our armed forces in Iraq after 90 days. Do you think that just might possibly give aid and comfort to the insurgency in Iraq? What do you think the outcry by the right on this board and across the nation would be? You think the word "treasonous" might come up somewhere? I think it would and rightly so! What do you think Tom?

Are you that partisan that you can't bring yourself to condemn an obviously outrageous political move? McCain called it like it was at the time and denouced his party for their unbelievably atrocious unpatriotic partisanship in supporting Milsovic over our own President. Do you agree with McCain or do think the Kosova vote was just fine and dandy? Spit it out Tom. No hemming or hawing.
