re: Ya gotta be at the end of thread for a Moebius award?

"I once had a similar thread with Ed. I asked him if he ever publicly questioned any of Clinton's military actions. Yugoslavia, Somalia etc
Ed lied when he said no. (then he squirmed a lot)
What's your answer, and if you are honest, will you belatedly turn yourself in to the authorities for your treasonous behaviour? "

This being the only vaguely rational thing you said, I guess I'll respond to it.

I think it was wrong for Clinton as commander in Chief to say the troops would only be deployed for a year, obviously that was at best incorrect.
Whereas I think Bush was wise not to give a specific timetable of withdrawing from Iraq [even though the idiot press was always unrealistically demanding one], until such time as a timetable can be given which has reasonable chance of being followed.

I supported sooner action to be taken in regards to Yugoslavia, and sooner action should have been taken- probably now, Clinton would agree with that.
Europe should have been capable in dealing with it [that was really the only debate], but they simply weren't going to do anything about it.

Probably if Clinton had not taken action, the war on terror would began sooner, but the Europeans would been on the recieving end of 911 attacks- lots of them. And the whole Orange revolution thingy probably wouldn't have happenned.
