Even though I signed the above "Robert" and not the official "Robert Shepherd", and thus by convention it is not an official post, I probably should stress that I am personally offended by Gary's comment and that this flame is not official (I would do that on Community).

Gary is directing his vile insult to the non-Right-Wing members of the Zone, and I'm a member of that group. I hope nobody'd be surprised if I wouldn't be satisifed by the response "oh, but I didn't mean you personally". I find hateful comments like that to be repulsive no matter who they're directed against, or, for that matter, in what venue. I've heard enough of that crap over the last couple of years to last me a lifetime. I consider it nothing more than a bullying tactic to try and intimidate legitimate political opposition--the refuge of an intellectual coward. Remarks like that are just plain shitty. Period.

Gary owes an apology to a large fraction of this community.
