The word treason does not mean what you say it does, not can you make it so by saying it.

Your "key issue" seems to be: Dissent against American foriegn policy provides encouragement to those that policy has named its enemies.

For my side of this "debate", I will say this: The course of foreign policy pursued by the current Administration has not been changed one iota by public dissent against it, nor by opposition in Congress. I conclude that such dissent -- protected by law, let us never forget -- has been completely ineffectual.

It is therefore necessary for my [sarc]worthy opponent[/sarc] to establish by example that the success of US foreign policy -- specifically, the so-called War on Terror, including but not limited to the armed actions in Afghanistan and Iraq -- has been hampered in any way by alleged "encouragement" derived by the enemy from domestic American dissent.

Facts, Mark. Debate is based on verifiable facts. Faith-based argument -- "I believe this to be true, so all else is false, wrong, evil and sick" -- has no place.
