re: FYI

"This being Community and not Flame, I'm not at liberty to tell you exactly what I think of that statement. Put up or shut up, Gary: Go over to Flame and explain what you mean by that, or never say anything like that again."

Moderators should be able to express personal opinion. I already admitted that and that I was mistaken in my criticism of Robert based on his comments here until I found the section above again and remembered why I felt he was abusing moderator priviledge. If Robert sincerely intended this only as personal opinion it was very poorly worded. I'll accept Robert's claims this was only personal opinion, but the rest of you moderators and much of the gallery certainly seem to be supporting the position that Gary's comments were out of bounds of acceptable behavior.

I've tried to show that is bogus in terms of both the definition of treason and other tolerated behavior. The result of such efforts is slurs and insults from people claiming to be debating issues rationally. Really impressive moderating attitude guys. It seems opinions which differ from yours deserve scorn, but scorn for opinions you agree with is unacceptable behavior.

Mark
