In an open society the ability to protest and dissent to government action and policy becomes an obligation. Otherwise the society is not open, is not free and the minority will become a threat to the safety and security of the majority.
Change in the open society come from a leadership articulating a position. If it is only the position of the power elite we call that society a tyranny.
Maybe being labled a "scumbag" in the HabitableZone is a badge of honor?
